AGC Media Release - Discontinuation of Criminal Proceedings Against Ravi s/o Madasamy

On 16 December 2020, Mr Ravi s/o Madasamy (“Mr Ravi”) was charged in court for an offence of criminal defamation punishable under section 500 of the Penal Code, for publishing a defamatory post pertaining to Mr K Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law, on his Facebook page, “Ravi MRavi”, on 6 November 2020 at about 8.45am (the “Offending Post”).
