Keynote Address by Deputy Attorney-General Tai Wei Shyong S.C. at the Sentencing Conference 2022

Members of the Judiciary, the Bar and the Legal Service, ladies and gentlemen, a very good morning to you all.

I want to start by thanking all the speakers and panel members before me – in particular, the Honourable Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon and Judge of Appeal Steven Chong. I must admit that so comprehensive and  thoughtful were their speeches yesterday, that I wondered how much I could meaningfully add.
